Charice Pempengco- The Big Revelation

Okay, so everyone's buzzing about this. I would like to share some insights about Charice's revelation about her identity.

It was never easy for her part to reveal herself as a lesbian in public. After her controversial statement on "THE BUZZ" , she became the word-of-mouth of every people locally and internationally which I think she knew would come. She quoted "Sana someday, hindi na maging big deal yung sexual preference. Kumbaga, pantay-pantay, equality, basically" Charice just wanted to be herself and be free so who are we to judge her right away?

Our family knew Charice even before she gain her fame and made a name in the international music scene. Alden Richards, the actor on GMA, the Magno Brothers who were a member of a Pinoy Pop male group XLR8, Renzo Almario, who was Julie Ann San Jose's competitor on a singing competition, and Mark Herras lived on our village which was really weird HAHAHAHA. My mom used to go to Lola Tess'( Charice's lola) tailoring shop and repair our school uniform; even her Lolo visits our house and pay for the water rent. Some neighbors were actually Charice's classmates when she was on elementary  and shared that the International star  had also experienced bullying.

So going back on the topic, Charice's deserves the capital R-E-S-P-E-C-T ! About the issue of her having a relationship with the A.K.A Jam member Alyssa Quijano, I think it surprised a lot of people. Lesbianism is a widespread and a common issue, the alteration is just that Charice is POPULAR and had a name to look after. A lot of organizations for transgendered, gay, lesbians, etc had a lot of opinions about this but they found it very brave of her to confess her sexuality in public.

Many had their opinions about Charice's change in hairstlye, sense of fashion and changing her Pop/Ballad genre of singing to RNB/Rock. My view on this is that it's her CHOICE! I find it really disrespectful and boorish when other people say  off-putting and destructive comments to her. And so what if she changes her genre to RNB or POP? She's still way better than other singers who's popping right now in the music industry.

Charice was the one who opened the doors to all hopeful and talented Filipinos to shine outside of the country which we really need to thank her for.  I mean, who else can do a powerful duet with Celine Dion? An interview with Oprah and Ellen? Have a more than three standing ovations? And claim the title as the Most Talented Girl in the World?!

Her family may be in a rough situation right now but I know someday everyone will accept her real identity. Let's just pray for them and keep supporting Charice. I know God has better plans for her, so Good luck on your career dude! Make Filipino Proud!
