Aiza and Charice- The Power of Two Concert

After the successful show of Shane Filan at the Skydome, I was able to cover the next event and this time an OPM concert; The Power Of Two: Aiza and Charice concert at Smart Araneta Coliseum presented by Wilbros Live

As I went in front of the stage, I started seeing some showbiz personality. Pretty startled to see Matteo Guidecelli, Vice Ganda, Erik Santos, Emrpess Schick, Vandolph, Aiai delas Alas, Maricel Soriano and many more. Aiza did an amazing job on her cover of "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan which gave me goosies! Her serene rendition of the song even made Vandolph  together with his wife Jenny burst into tears (*maybe the song reminds something of the Comedy King; his dad Dolphy). Aiza apologized to everyone because she was sick and her voice was not in condition but maybe there are reasons it happened according to her but either way, she still sounds good!

After Aiza's set and his duet with Gloc-9, it's Charice turn to take over the stage! Crowd started screaming as Charice performed "Pyramid" with her back-up dancers; the G-Force. Wearing her light blue blazer and blue pants, she did an amazing job doing her dynamic and vivacious moves. Everybody enjoyed and sing with her on her cover of "Roar". It was my first time to watch her live and she was just a promising and an exceptional performer!

The surprise was about to come! She then invited her controversial girlfriend Alyssa Quijano onstage and did a duet with her! Their voices captured the attention of all the fans and was really amazed by their performance.

There was this song titled "Maghintay Ka Lamang" where I felt her emotions as she was trying to avoid herself to cry because there was no member of her family who was there in the event and watch her.

"Ang kailangan mo'y tibay ng loob
Kung mayrong pagsubok man
Ang liwanag ay di magtatagal
At muling mamasdan"

These lyrics somewhat reminds me of my lola who passed away last February. Anyway I admire Charice for being strong and inspired despite of everything. " A girl who never loses hope" - that's her! She continued to awe a lot of fans by performing some of Whitney Houston's greatest hits like  "I have Nothing" It kinda remember me of Jessica Sanchez last February 15 ( iba talaga ang galing ng pinoy!) then se began talking about different talents showing of in the music industry the  she sang "Di ko maipaliwanag kung bat marahil ikaw ang laging hinahanp" girls went screaming then Abra came out of the stage with his powerhouse energy! ( Dude this rapper made my heart beats faster than its normal rate) He captured everyone's attention and just takes over the stage with Charice. ( the climax of the show hahahaha)

Oh Abra, where'd you get that charm huh? :">

Aiza was back onstage and had a show-off with Charice! Both of them should have a TV show. They're both spilling jokes about their current status and commenting on the video greeting they've watched on the screen from their loved ones. Okay, so i felt agitated as Aiza sang "Pagdating Ng Panahon". I always sing this in karaoke since i was a child because this was the only song i know which has no birit part (*hahaha)

They did perform Louder and Titanium in the end! Crowd's went dancing especially Teacher Georcelle of G-Force.

This is not just an ordinary concert. Aiza and Charice showed that everyone is equally made by God. You should accept and love yourself! Be you and don't think of what others may think about you. Nobody is perfect and not everybody can accept you. Being different is what makes you unique! In Marketing, "it's your Unique Selling Proposition". Those who are stepped by other people are the ones who get successful in the future. The bottom line is, these two great artist were the voice of all the "unaccepted" that night. They speak for all the L.G.B.T and they are proud of it. So I'm hoping for the next "Power of Two" concert next year! More guest, the happier" :)

Shane Filan in Manila

"I wanna know, who ever told you I was letting go" , "But If I let you go, I will never know what my life would be holding you close to me" , "An empty street, an empty house, a home inside my heart" - who wouldn't love this songs back from the 90's?

It was September 29, 2011 since my first ever concert and the best I've seen so far! WESTLIFE'S "Gravity Tour" I'm 18 and yeah, I'm a fan of boybands. So the moment MCA ( Universal Music Philippines ) announced that Shane Filan; front men of Westlife is coming to Manila for his Everything To Me promo tour, I was in total shock and I told myself  I should go and watch him ( even if he's on solo ).

An "angels" in disguise came up and there they gave me my first ever media pass. I can't thank them enough for this early Christmas gift :-)

Sabrina was the front act of the event. She was really pretty and her voice was really angelic. No wonder she was reigned as the "Asia's Acoustic Sweetheart". She performed some of her original songs and covered the song Titanium. After her last song, crowds went crazy and screamed Shane Filan's name.

He went out smiling to his fans and greeting all his "Filaners" who went to Skydome despite of the bad weather. Crowds were stunned especially me who was knocked-out for six! I almost forgot that I need to take photos & not to stare at him the whole time. The moment he spoke and released a tune in his mouth, I began shaking and still can't believe that he's in front of me! So every time he was walking in the stage towards my place, I'd just stop taking photos and reaching my hands just to hold him and yeah i touched his hands which was really a bombshell! "Dreams do come true fangirls" hahaha

He told us that he felt lonely onstage and he wants to come back and perform with Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan and Mark Feehily next year maybe? :)

He performed Today's Not Yesterday, Everything to Me and What About Now. Shane was surprised that fans know the lyrics of his new songs and told everyone that he has the best fans in the Philippines!

What I love about Shane is he sings through the heart! He makes sure everyone could "breath in" every lyrics he sings! His presence alone is enough to complete that night even though Kian, Nicky and Mark weren't there sharing the stage with him! After his performance, a CD signing took place wherein I saw fans going cray as they walked up on stage and having their CD signed and their chance to say "Hello" to Shane personally. There was this 60 year old women who won't stop shaking hands with Shane and just kept on thanking Shane for his great music and telling him she's an avid fan of Westlife.

I don't know the name of this guy but he was staring at me most of the time so if anyone know his name, please tell me! He's kinda cute and charming lol

And there I saw the pretty Ms. Grace Foronda of MCA Music

Thanks for bringing Shane Filan in Manila dear producers. I would also like to thank those people who gave me that Media Pass & trusted me take photos on this event! I also lost my wallet that day with a 500 bill on it ( thank you crooks) that's why I'd like to thank Stephanie Hanopol who went to Trinoma and meet me up. Together with her mom, she held me some money so I can go and attend Aiza and Charice concert to cover it also & to my friend Josephine Balilo whose house is always open for me. I love you guys! :*

Panic at the Disco & All Time Low Album Launch

I was really overwhelmed that I got to cover these two major album launch "DON'T PANIC! Too Weird to Live, Too Rare to Die" and met some great people last Saturday. Thanks to Sparks Production, this event wouldn't be possible without them, especially to Pcheng Photography ( the Paul & Ica Cheng tandem ) , Warner Music Philippines, Yurbuds and of course Odyssey.

Last October 12,2013 at around 2 PM, Panic at the Disco PH street teams together with the All Time Low Street team joined forces for their heroes album launch at Odyssey Gateway. These double album launch gathered all fans and enjoyed good music from the bands; Zylke, Edward Ramirez (solo), Yuko, Starecase, Stay Tonight and Along Van Buren.

Yuko members got to play for Jazz Ong since her band members  were not there. They performed P!ATD's This is Gospel ( my favorite) and covered some ATL's songs. I admire Jazz for having her own versions and showing off her guitar and singing skills with confidence! *Go Jazz

Panic at the Disco Philippines had a  P!ATD  Q&A game for all the fans and gave away some CD's and freebies to the winners. ( one way to test if you're an avid fan hahaha )

To hyped up all the fans, YURBUDS earphones had this game wherein three lucky contestants need to remove the earphones in their ears without the use of their hands and to do that, they must shake non-stop and the first one to take it off can bring home a pair!

Oh yeah girls! Shake Yurbuds :)
Edward Ramirez

Starecase- oh by the way! I love Milka's voice! Very serene yet rock \m/

The next band to play was "Yuko"

These dudes really brought up the positive vibes in the venue! There was no dull moment and covered some P!ATD and All Time Low pretty good!

 Hi Ate Ica!

"You did an amazing job on the covers "Yuko". You have the best fans at the venue screaming your names. Awesome guys! :)"

Then Stay Tonight also had an amazing line up of songs served for all the fans last Saturday!

It was my first time to attend an album launch and it was really fun! There was games like Charades, Q&A games and my favorite "Shake Yurbuds". Lots of pretty fans and the energy level was really high! Panic at the Disco & All Time Low street teams are the best. See you soon guys!

P.S: Thank you PB! HAHAHAHA See you soon :-)
