Gig at 70's Bistro with Mayonnaise, General Luna and Itchyworms

Another night of pure OPM! Gigs never failed to fill my inspiration tank. 200 php entrance with a free drink is really worth the night.

As always, Mayonnaise gave surreal performances singing their songs "Bakit Part 2" twice , My Hero by Paramore, Sinungaling, My Sharona, Sinungaling and more covers.

 Thanks for greeting us by the way Sir Monty. By the way, your high notes always gave me chills. DAAAAAMN

After their set, I went at the comfort then some ladies asked me if I'm the vocalist of the band "Imago" (last night I didn't remember the vox of band they were comparing me with but now I can recall, I told them "No *then laugh" but I admit, i kinda like the way they asked it HAHAHA :">

We also did some business here at the place. Had some artist be on our invitational message for our Battle of the Band event on November.

Gig at B-Side Makati

6 Hours of Rock n' Rolling at B-side ! HAHAHAHA. Friends and I went to a gig "PROJECT THURSDAY" and ofcourse to meet up with our Music Video artist -> SOAPDISH. Band members Jeff (Vocalist & Guitarist) , Pei Signey (Guitarist and vocals) , Melvin on Bass and JC on drums!

Do you remember the Asian-Novela "It Started with a Kiss" starring Jeanie and Michael? and their themesong "Pwede Ba"? Well, SOAPDISH popularized that song . Also famous for their song Tensionado,Nang Dahil sa Ulan, Sana Sinabi,etc and their cover for "Kahit maputi na ang buhok ko". They're somehow different from other bands because of their choice of lyrics which really brings us back to the sounds of 90's, their arrangement and the whole look and feel of their songs are extraordinary!

We had a little chit-chat before they perform and they were really really really NICE in person! So fun to talk with and open to any ideas for our project! Man they're so dandy and friendly! They just make "APIR" and shake hands (*which was really cool HAHAHA) They're all cool by the way, they greeted us and Kuya Jeff make "apir" to us during his performance of "Pwede Ba" which was so nice. All members were so down-to-earth and really good performers! If you listen to them LIVE, surely they'll bring you to another world! We also met Monty Macalino of Mayonnaise and also watched them perform onstage! Took this picture after their performance. Pareng Monty said "Pasensya na ha, sobrang pawis ko" - Well I say,"The more pawis, the better" :-)

Man, these dudes are awesome! Same with Soapdish, their quality of music are dope. It's like heaven next door! Everyone in the room felt like their having eargasms! HAHAHA! What makes MONTY cool is that he supports every performer onstage! I catched him headbanging with a fan on his left hand and a hotdog on the other which really looks cute!

Next to perform was Ferown which you really know the VOCALS really well, DANITA PANER! She was wearing these BOOM designed tops which really showed his art for music. Pax, JR, Raffy,  Gherald showed their enthusiam for music at B-Side last Thursday night! It was my first time to watch them though. Danita was a light in the crowd! Her presence sets the bar so high for all the girls in the place! Love you Danita! Sorry pictures were not yet uploaded. :-)

There  were lots of band who played yesterday! And I'm really crushing on someone but I'll not mention it here. HAHAHAHA. By the way I saw someone ! Look

The ever so pretty and talented JOYCE PRING! She told me I SHOULD'VE SAID HI but I was really shy and it was really loud all the time :-) Seems like enjoying this set  of band! Guess who >:-)

SILENT SANCTUARY played too! Knocked us all six! They're really good. OPM bands are the best! They showcased the best of the best. Even Kuya jeff joined Raymund (Sarkie) on the stage 

 These night was bizarre! Hoping my friends would come again with me. I recommend everyone to watch GIGS around the Merto, you'll be surprised what  these Artists can offer. But ofcourse SANMIG will help you add excitement to the night! This blog will be updated soon. More pictures to come.
